Just the other day, I visited a Big Lots near my house, and I came across a goldmine of energy drinks at a great price. There were several brands to choose from, and each one was only $0.60! One of the brands I bought was Hooters Energy Drink. I was very surprised when I saw this brand because I was totally unaware Hooters even made an energy drink. I’m not going to lie, I’ve eaten at Hooters a couple of times, so I must say I was pretty curious what Hooters Energy Drink would taste like.
Hooters Energy Drink comes in a 16 oz. can featuring the recognizeable Hooters owl logo, accompanied by a beautiful brunette Hooters girl. One thing Hooters did fail to do was mention the flavor of the energy drink on the can. I had to read the list of ingredients on the back of the can to get an idea what it was going to taste like.
As far as ingredients goes, Hooters definitely wasn’t stingy. Hooters Energy Drink has 54 grams of sugar, 1900 mg of taurine, and 220 mg of caffeine. This energy blend is more than enough to get anyone AMPED.
I was definitely pleased with the taste of Hooters Energy Drink. To best describe it, it tasted like the orange part a sno cone I use to eat when I was a little kid. I was expecting it to have some kind of bitter or tart after taste, but Hooters actually did a really good job formulating their ingredients.
After I got through about half the can, I started to feel the energy kick in. My energy buzz lasted for a good couple of hours, however I did experience subtle jitteryness towards the end. There is a great deal of caffeine and sugar in this drink, so I’m not really surprised. All in all, I’d say the AMPED Factor was comparable to some of the more popular energy drink brands on the market today.
Whooooo Whooo is ready for the final verdict?
