When I was at the grocery store last weekend, I felt the need for a little pick me up, so I decided to go check out if there were any new energy drinks that I could try. The energy drink that first caught my attention was Venom Energy Drink, which is made by Dr Pepper Snapple Group. The first thing I noticed was the cool bottle it was in. It is contained in a pretty heavy duty container with a resealable cap, which is pretty cool in case you want to store it and drink it later. This was actually the first energy drink I’ve ever bought with that kind of feature. That’s pretty cool if you ask me. On front of the container is a really cool design of a rattle snake’s eye. I can tell the makers of Venom Energy Drink spent a lot of time and effort in the design. It just screams, you have to try me.
When I took my first sip, it was instantly refreshing. It tasted like the Original Rockstar with a tinge of grape. I also appreciated the fact that it didn’t leave a tart after taste, which a lot of the energy drinks out there do. It’s definitely one of the best tasting energy drinks I’ve tried thus far.
The 16 oz. bottle packs key ingredients such as 160 mg of caffeine, l-carnitine, ginseng, B vitamins, and of course taurine. I should also mention that it’s pretty low in calories and carbs, so it’s great for those who are watching their weight.
As far as getting me AMPED, it’s probably comparable to a Rockstar or Monster, which is cool in my book. My energy buzz lasted at least 3 to 4 hours easily. I breezed through doing some laundry, cleaned my car, and even squeezed in a workout. Thank you Mojave Rattler!
