LOST FIVE-0 Energy Drink Review

Today, I will be reviewing Lost Five-O Energy Drink. I picked up this interesting concoction at a Chevron gas station while getting my car washed. After doing a little research, I found out that this brand of energy drink is manufactured by Hansen Beverage Company. This explains its similarity in taste to Monster, which is manufactured by the same company.

Lost Five-0 comes in a very eccentric looking can. From a distance, it looks as if someone took a spray can and went to work. I’m not quite sure what the premise was behind the design, but it definitely caught my eye and sparked my curiosity.

The 16 oz. can of Lost Five-0 packs 32 g of sugar, B vitamins, Taurine, and a 2500 mg energy blend of glucose, glucuronolactone, panax ginseng, caffeine, L-carnitine, guarana, and maltodextrin.

To best describe the taste, it tastes like someone took some syrup from a can of fruit cocktail and mixed it with an original Monster. I respect the fact that they teamed up with Monster in making this drink, but I really wish they didn’t taste so similar. I mean, if I want something that tastes like Monster, I would just buy one of the Monster energy drinks. So, I guess my recommendation to Hansen is maybe to differentiate the taste more from their Monster counterpart.

After drinking Lost Five-0, it took around 15-20 minutes before I felt my energy buzz start kicking in.  Just like with the Monster drinks, Lost Five-0 certainly did not fail to get me AMPED. With all the energy it gave me, I almost started helping the guy wipe down my car. Two thumbs up for the AMPED factor.

Ok peeps, here’s my final verdict:

Price: $2.49

Taste: 8.0 out of 10

AMPED Factor: 8.5 out of 10
